Ronald Tagoe as a computer science student in KNUST, co-founded mNotify (in 2012), a telecommunications company (SMS and Voice Technologies) formed with the objective of improving information dissemination within corporate organizations and religious bodies. mNotify under his leadership over the past 9 years, has risen to be one of the giants in the Communications a cloud service space with their products spanning across SMS, Voice Technologies and the USSD infrastructure. mNotify currently has over 20,000 clients across several industries
.
His passion for Artificial Intelligence and belief that Social Commerce is the future of commerce in Africa, led him to start Chatbots Africa in order to empower African SMEs to increase their revenue and enhance their customer engagement using Artificial Intelligence and Chatbots (Conversational Commerce). Chatbots Africa is currently registered in Ghana and in Kenya. Chatbots Africa is only 5 months old but its bots have processed over USD 50,000 worth of transactions and already won an award.
Once a musician, his relentless love for music led him to join forces with two friends to form a team that managed an upcoming artiste popularly known as TeshieBoi (2017 -2019) and from that he developed another app he developed is Sario App, a music-oriented crowdfunding platform in Ghana. Sario App won the Lifestyle App Category at the MTN Apps Challenge 2018 Edition. He is currently a technology consultant for Ghana Music Copyright Organization helping the copyright organization digitalize its operations, help increase revenue mobilization and create an effective royalty distribution system. He is passionately about looking for alternative sources of income for African Artistes and using music as a developmental tool in Africa.
He is a 2014 Transform Africa Youth Innovation Award Winner, Afric 'Up 2019 Finalist, 2021 Tech Cabal Future of Commerce Partnership Pitch Winner and Technology Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 (Organized by Ghana Startup Network).
He currently offers mentorship sessions for the Ashesi Idea Fair and Entrepreneurship Universe and offers mentorship and internship opportunities to computer science students mainly from University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Ronald Tagoe attended Presbyterian Boys Secondary School. He graduated from Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology, Computer Science class of 2013.
He completed his Masters program in Advance Computer Science from the University of Leicester in
2021 where he passed with distinction.
